Those were just some of the rides I went on when I had a last minute opportunity to head to Cedar Point this past Monday with my sisters work.
Samantha and Stephanie snoozing on the way there...
Katie catching a few winks...
Me, bright-eyed and bushy tailed...
Megan and I in line for the Raptor...
Taking a drink break from the intense heat (the heat index was over 100!)...
Amanda, Deanna, Megan and Katie...
Dan, Stephanie, Deidre, Abby, Samantha and Dennis...
Megan and I in line for Millenium Force...
Megan, Katie, Steph, Sam and I in line for the Mantis...
Megan, Sam, Steph and Katie ready to blast off on the Power Tower...
Katie, Sam, Megan and Steph about to zoom off on Top Thrill Dragster
(I chickened out and am not afraid to admit it!)...
And there they go...
Their boss was gracious and covered all of our expenses (minus food) even though she hates roller coasters and knew she wouldn't be going on a single ride. She did it all for her employees enjoyment -- such a great lady! And although we did have to take cover twice from storms that came through, it turned out to be a perfect day and we were able to get on all the rides we wanted to without waiting too long in lines (the longest wait time we had was 1 hour!). I can't wait until my little ones are old enough so I can take them there and we can ride the coasters together!
I have a feeling these two little girls are going to be trouble in the years to come just by their little attitudes at such young ages! But I also think they are going to be life-long friends!!
Playtime...
Snack time...
They'd been fighting over this stroller all morning long and then came up with this idea... all on their own!!!
Twice a year I take the kids to get their pictures taken together. Although it's quite a challenge to get 4 kids to cooperate and smile for a few pictures, it'll be nice to have these keepsakes in the years to come.
God has blessed me with three rambunctious sons and one precious daughter. My oldest son, Andrew, is 10 and my little overachiever (which I LOVE). Next comes Austin, who is 8, and a ball of energy from dawn to dusk! My youngest son, Aaron, is 6, and a definite "momma's boy". My baby girl, Alexis, is 3 1/2, and the princess of the family. I come from a large family and have the greatest friends a girl could ask for. I am far from perfect, but redeemed by the blood of Jesus! I am thankful for His grace and mercy every day!
This blog is just a little glimpse of my everyday life as a single mother of 4. It's mainly written to help document some of the things I may not remember down the road and figured I would share with you. Happy reading :)
