Girls Gone Wild...

This past weekend I was able to sneak away for a friends bachelorette party in Chicago. We left Saturday morning and headed to Michigan City for some outlet store shopping. After we each spent far more money than intended, we loaded up back in the cars and headed to Chicago. We got to our hotel, checked in and had some time to kick back and relax before getting ready for the night.

After doing a little bit of pre-partying, we dispersed to our own rooms to get glammed up for the long night ahead.

We were able to do a party package and got a party bus to drive us around all night, VIP entrance into bars, and free drinks throughout the night!

It was quite a spectacular night and gave us many stories and memories to last a lifetime! And a special thanks to my parents for watching the kids so I could get away!

Snow Much Fun...

For the last few months, my kids have been begging to go sledding at my parents house down their steep driveway. Lucky for them I went out of town for the weekend and they finally got their chance! My mom dressed them up in their snow gear and sent them outdoors with my dad and brother for some chilling fun!

SEEK; 21 Days...

“Then you will pray to me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart.” Jer. 29:12-13

This last week, my pastor challenged our church congregation to partake in 21 days of prayer and fasting. We were asked to fast from whatever we feel hinders us from drawing closer to God, and instead use that free time for prayer. Prayer for God to move in our hearts, lives, families and communities. For me, it was a no-brainer and decided I will be taking a break from the internet for a while. I've become quite complacent in my walk with Jesus, going through the motions and not fully investing like I should be doing. And, well, it's time for a change... a big change. It's time for me to go after God completely and surrender my life to His will, not my own. It's time to allow Him to shine through me in all I do, glorifying Him. It's time to SEEK Him whole heartedly...
  

Abandoned Blog...

Sorry about the extended hiatus in posts! December was not a good month for me in the way of illnesses. I was in and out of the ER 3 times, and went from having pneumonia for almost 2 weeks to strep throat the following week, and then a double ear infection a week after that! It seems that ever since I had Alexis, my immune has gone on strike and refuses to fight off anything! On the bright side, I got a lot of rest to gear me up for this new year. And now I think I am finally over the worst of it all, so I hope to add some long overdue posts in the next few days. I'm going to add them according to the dates things took place, so don't forget to scroll down when you check back.
